Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm Lyn. I like to make juice and smoothies. That's my job right now. And I like to cook for people. I also love being outside. I worked as a kayak guide this past summer. It was really freeing spending my days on the water getting to know new people. I'm afraid of electric eels and sharp coral. I studied Spanish in school, and I mostly only use it speaking with construction workers outside my work place. I am moving to Hilo, Hawaii to work with a wilderness and horticultural therapy organization in March.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I made a lot of friends within the couchsurfing community while living in Santiago de Compostela, Spain and they got me interested in couchsurfing. I also met a lot of couchsurfers through blah blah car while traveling around Europe.
Interests
I like to learn about other people! It's much more fun for me to read other people's profiles than to write my own. Once a Chinese man asked me how to say, "everything you don't understand is beautiful" in Spanish. It was the only phrase he wanted to learn. I thought that was really interesting and said a lot about him.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went skydiving to try to get over my fear of planes. I'm still afraid of planes but skydiving was pretty amazing.

What I Can Share with Hosts
Food! I love food. I make some mean spring rolls, mashed potatoes, smoothies, and desserts. I'd love to make you food. I have accumulated some good stories that I can share. One time I was taken in by a band of marine biologists in Southern Portugal. I play classical piano and know some guitar. I'm hoping to have a house that will accommodate couch surfers in Hilo once I am settled.
