My goal is to experience a country from its people firsthand. Making new friends is gives "life" to the places I visit. Spontaneity helps restore my sanity.

When possible, I'm most interested in swimming, diving, hiking in the desert, star-gazing, mountsins, natural springs, and trying local food.

I like to get to know local products, small businesses (especially family or women-owned), and checking out second-hand/vintage shops - I'm a lover of fashion.

History and culture - I think it's special to hear each person's story and to understand how the history of their country has affected them.

Couchsurfing is not a dating app. I am not comfortable with excessive touch/hugs from men.
Please don't ask for a kiss, holding hands, or suggest sharing the same bed... it makes it awkward for the both of us and is a sure way to earn a negative reference.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet other people who love and prioritize slow travel, backpacking, and volunteering.

To see what life is like from the perspective of someone who is from the area I'm visiting (or visiting me), to encounter new ways of thinking, to get to know another culture, and to have somebody to eat, chat, and explore with.

To meet people I wouldn't otherwise meet. It gives a special meaning to the places I visit.

CS offers community, the feeling that someone is waiting for you.
I'd like to offer travelers the same.

The world is a beautiful place with beautiful people, and there is something to learn from everyone.

I enjoy cooking healthy food, cooking for my guests, and sharing my travel experiences.

I would love to learn a few words in any language.

I can share knowledge about the intersection between climate and geopolitics, sustainable living, and if you play any instruments we can play piano/sing karaoke. I can also help with editing resumes, cover letters, or web editing in English.
