About Me
*available to host in January. Please read my "home" section before sending a request*
Can't wait to meet you!
I love experiencing a country from its people firsthand. Spending time with people gives life to the places I visit. Spontaneity helps restore my sanity.
My favorite people to meet are those who prioritize slow travel, backpacking, and volunteering, who care deeply about others, and who value kindness and honesty.
It's always interesting to see life from other perspectives, encounter new ways of thinking, get to know another culture, and to have somebody to eat, chat, and explore with. I've met some of my closest friends through CS and it has changed my life.
I'm an outdoor person and I like camping, swimming, natural springs, mountains, skating, scuba diving, etc.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I've been traveling for several months at a time these past 3 years, exploring a different country for 2-3 months each.
***
Couchsurfing is not a dating app. I am not comfortable with excessive hugs/touch from men or the infamous "if something happens it happens..." mentality. Please don't suggest sharing the same bed... it makes it awkward for the both of us and is a sure way to earn a negative reference.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
CS offers community, the feeling that someone is waiting for you, like you have a built-in friend with whom you have some values in common. I think it's one of the most beautiful things there is.

Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy cooking cultural dishes for hosts and guests
I would love to learn a few words in any language. It means a lot to me when people introduce me to their favorite music or a topic they're passionate about, favorite restaurant, or their favorite meal. Food is my love language.
I like that the concept of CS breaks away from a world where everything is manufactured/commercialized. Capitalism is not all bad, but it's not the only way to live.
I can help with chores. I am good at organizing things. I like to spend time with people, it doesn't matter where/how/what (but preferably over food 😛)
I have funny stories we can share and laugh about.
I can also help with re-writing/proofreading resumes, cover letters, and editing in English (like scholarship/admissions essays).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to help with cooking and take you out to eat, swapping travel stories, and sharing in any way I can.
