I am a teacher with international experience. I love company and enjoy cooking. A good night is a night spent around my dining table with a glass of wine, good music and friends new and old.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because l was introduced to it by a friend who hosts many visitors to his home.
My daughter was hosted in Germany years ago and l want to provide a comfortable, safe experience for others.
I can offer good company, a taste of country life and an appreciation of Southland.

Interests

Gardening, growing, farming, art, music, reading, teaching others, cooking and exploring the world meeting other cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read autobiographical novels and autobiographies, historical books and enjoy reading.
Music is one of my passions with jazz being a particular favourite but definitely into classical, rock and even popular bands. Each decade has their legends and l enjoy a huge range of music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I enjoy travelling to new places and experiencing new foods. I went on a scholarship to China to teach English and had a classroom of 65 students. A bit exciting for a teacher used a classroom of 27 and all about the same age.
