About Me
21 y/o living in Singapore but will one day truly move out to see the world. There are too many places to explore!! Right now I can really only make short trips during the holidays.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy meeting new people and actually getting to know them and thought “why not?” when my friend introduced this platform to me a year ago. It’s so cool that we can share the experiences and in each other’s host country. So “why not?”
Interests
I love the outdoors, so I’m always down for an adventure and a hike. I would consider myself an active person, and I’m not fond of working out in indoor gyms as I would rather be outside. Also, skiing is one of the best things I’ve done so that’s something I’m interested in too!
Cafe hopping! I really love food and exploring the cafe scenes and restaurants wherever I go! Just sitting down with good company, a book, or a view and enjoying a sumptuous meal.
Favorite cuisines: Italian and Japanese. I cook them all the time. Simple and delicious. I love a good, medium rare and juicy cheeseburger as well.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m totally into the Marvel Cinematic Universe...and have watched every single movie since Robert Downey Jr. debuted as Tony Stark in Iron Man in 2008. That’d be, a good 11 years now..! I never kept up with the comics though, so it’s purely just the films.
I love the Intouchables. Best movie ever. Never laughed so much during a movie in my life (so far). A dear friend of mine recommended it to me so now I’m recommending it to you guys out there who hasn’t watched it yet!
Anime has always been something that I watched too, especially since it’s such a big thing in Taiwan! I’ve watched every episode of One piece and Detective Conan thus far. That’s a whopping combined total of 1700+ episodes thus far!
Books. I’ve always enjoyed spending time alone reading a good book as a hobby. Genres that I’m interested in would be mystery and yeah mainly that. Harlan Coben, Keigo Higashino are just some authors that I enjoy.
Now music. I’m not quite a follower when it comes to new music...? If you know what I mean. Think I only really keep up with Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran. I really enjoy Queen, Greenday and The Weeknd too, especially during a workout, or when I just feel like it. Bon Jovi and Micheal Jackson are wonders too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Might not be that amazing, but once when I was in Vietnam, I went onto the paddy fields and planted rice with the locals......planting rice isn’t easy. From then on I’d made sure my friends and I (mostly) would finish every single grain of rice on my plate. You guys should do so too!
I know this says ONE amazing thing but let me share another — skiing!! I know it is something that many have done and probably enjoy on a regular basis like a weekend ski trip sort of thing but for me, a regular girl living in hot sunny Singapore with low lying lands, Skiing on the mountains is truly one amazing thing I’ve done.... and I loved every second of it! I really hope to go skiing again very time soon.
Teach, Learn, Share
I guess I could teach you some Chinese if you don’t already speak/know it! :)
I’d love to learn some German if any of you know the language. Japanese is awesome too! Arigato.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Some Singaporean specialties: Bak Kwa, Pandan cake you name it... if I’m allowed to bring it cross the border of course....due to customs check etc.
I’d be glad to share things about the Singaporean and Taiwanese culture as well if you’re curious! My mum’s from Taiwan so I travel there every year, enough to say that I’m quite knowledgeable about the culture and what nots over there!
Honestly not the best cook but I’m really proud of my Tonkatsu (Japanese pork cutlet) so if you’re down to try, I’d be more than happy to whip up lunch/dinner! I love making Ojiya (Japanese rice soup) at home as well. It’s so easy to make and you can put in any ingredient that suits your taste. It’s a great concept for both meat-lovers and vegetarians.
