ABOUT ME

I am a lover for all things adventurous, lovely, and silly. I absolutely adore traveling and meeting new people -- swapping stories is what I'm all about. :)
I'm studying at the University of Manitoba, but the world is more of my classroom right now... heading out on a 5 month backpacking trip for a break from the books with my boyfriend in January 2014. Hoping to meet some other couchsurfers throughout Japan and Australia!

PHILOSOPHY

If you want to do something in life, just go out and do it. Live each day with a little less fear, and open your heart to the unknown. It's beautiful to have no idea what tomorrow may bring -- so welcome each step with a smiling spirit and appreciation for what's in front of you. It's important to cue into your surroundings and make it as enjoyable for the ones around you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hoping to stay with some couchsurfers throughout Tokyo, Hiroshima, Osaka and Kyoto in January 2014, as well Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney and Melburne come June 2014. :)
I've never had the experience of staying with someone through CS, so this will be my first time... I have met a number of surfers in my hometown and hearing their stories only inspires me to try surfing! Looking forward to the experience. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing that has changed my life was volunteering in Kenya for two months in 2012. The most eye-opening, heart wrenching, and encouraging experience... one of the best things I have ever done (which was also a goal on my life list!) -- always on the move for more experiences like this!

Have an enlightening, understanding perspective for every day life as it typically goes full circle with each situation you cross.

I can't wait to start surfing and meet awesome people across the world. I think couchsurfing is such a fantastic idea... of course, it's also a little nerve-wrecking, but certainly sounds like one of the best experiences while traveling!
