About Me

My name is Lyndsey. I am 22 years old. I am a Public Relations major at Stephen F. Austin State University. I'm pretty fun to be around. I love making people laugh, and when I fail miserably at that, I laugh at my own jokes because someone has got to. I was born and raised in Texas, and it will probably always be my home. I consider myself rather open-minded, and I am always looking for a new perspective.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a burning desire to travel, and a tiny college student budget, but I believe you can travel without a dime in your pocket if you have the right mindset. Most of my friends and family doubt me, but I'm more than ready to prove them wrong, and I could definitely use a hand.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, but I usually find myself tuning into 90's pop. My favorite artist atm is Shakey Graves. You should definitely check him out. My favorite movie is Dead Poets Society, and I also have a thing for musicals. As for books, anything and everything written by Jodi Picoult.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a 3 week road trip up the East coast with my best friend in the summer of 2015. We couchsurfed the entire trip, which was amazing experience.

During Spring Break 2017, I section hiked the AT, which was one of the most difficult things I've ever done.

At the end of the year, I will graduate with my BS in Mass Communication, and I am moving to Japan for a year to teach English.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have tons of experiences to share from my short life, and I think one of the best things about traveling is meeting new people and hearing about the cool sh*t they have done.
