About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I love cheese. And traveling.
ABOUT ME
Aside from eating cheese, my main priority is to go, see, and do. Travel, seeing the world, living largely and loudly is what I live for. I love meeting amazing people, photography, being active, hiking, backpacking, cooking and eating and wining, consignment shopping, crafting, my friends and family, my younger brother, and reading all the books on my never ending list. I am currently a high school spanish teacher with a huge wanderlust problem. Having gone through college, grad school, and teaching for two years in the "system," I am ready to get out and have an adventure. I want to see as much as the world as possible on a budget. I have studied and worked abroad in Spain and acquired the travel bug while doing so. I laugh a lot, I'm straightforward, sarcastic, goofy and a little nerdy. I own way too many pairs of shoes and my apartment walls look like a national geographic magazine. I can't wait to skydive, learn more about photography, and eat my way around this big beautiful world.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is to be real, to seek the best in life, to read and converse and learn and laugh and do things that scare me. To never settle, to be a little crazy, to eat whatever I want and share my life with others. I like to work hard and play harder. I believe travel is the best teacher there is.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have a futon that sleeps two and also a large guest house that my parents own that often sits empty when not being rented. Fancy!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couchsurfed in London with two girlfriends and the guys that put us up were very friendly. They ended up showing us around London a bit and having dinner with us even though they had early morning work schedules.

Music, Movies, and Books
Any music that I steal from my friends or brother, and I am really into reading memoirs lately. I have a goodreads account, and a Kindle. It's addicting!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Salkantay Trek, Peru, South America- hardest thing I've ever done, mentally and physically. EPIC.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to share a conversation and learn from it. I also teach Spanish for a career. I would love to teach you Spanish, or learn more Spanish from you. Or any other language that you know for that matter. I would love to learn about photography and of all the cool places you have been and taken pictures of. I can take your picture with my semi fancy camera. I would like to share all the books I've read and loved, my travel guides, places I've been, and of course any cheese and wine I have on hand.
