Overview
About Me
I love adventure. I've lived in Ohio, Indiana, South Florida, Southeast Wisconsin, New Jersey, and Northwest Arkansas. I dabble in cycling (primarily MTB), hiking, skiing, knitting, pottery, backpacking, baking, and painting. I love people and I love people's stories. I've been a 'host parent' for international college students, giving them a home away from home on university holidays when they couldn't travel home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love connecting with people....and this is a fantastic way to do that while adventuring or giving someone some insider knowledge for their adventure while they stay with you.
Music, Movies, and Books
I am really in awe of people who have in depth opinions of music and movies. When I look at the #social-nowlistening channel on my work slack...I'm generally in awe. Who are these bands? How do you find them? And movies/shows - in ten years I'll might finally watch whatever was popular today.
Books: okay - so I am an avid reader. Historical fiction and memoirs.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I guess this depends on your definition of amazing: I helped the veterinarian replace a cow's prolapsed uterus when I was in 4th grade. (I grew up on a dairy farm).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I recently stayed with a friend in Hawaii, and made them home baked good almost every day: cinnamon rolls, apple honey challah, soft pretzels, passion fruit butter, quiche, homemade pizza. (If you've got a stand mixer and some yeast - watch out!)
Countries I’ve Visited
Bahamas, El Salvador, England, Germany
