About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Trying to understand life, the universe and everything and having fun in the process.
ABOUT ME
The short version:
I'm a guy that has been a little bit around. When I was a teenager I had this misguided dream of becoming a rockstar, so I went on to study at the Music Conservatory for a year. Thankfully that dream shattered and I started university studies in the Study of Religion, and later on in Psychology.
In 2011, I spent some months in the Middle East to experience life in a different culture. In 2012, I moved to England to study something with the enigmatic title 'cognitive and evolutionary anthropology', stuck around to work as a producer for a 'philosophy and music' festival, and is now, oddly, doing a PhD in computer science.
I like to think of myself as a somewhat intelligent and fun Danish guy who enjoys meeting new people and try my best to be nice to everyone. I really enjoy a good discussion, preferably while smoking sheesha (waterpibe)!
Oh, and also I love to dance.
PHILOSOPHY
I come from a Christian family, and have great sympathy for Protestant Christianity, though I do not believe in any religion.
My personal philosophy is to try and be nice to all the people I meet in my life, whether I like them or not (if you can call that a philosophy).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When I was travelling in the Middle East from February to June 2011, I ended my trip by couchsurfing in Istanbul. This was my first couchsurfing experience, but it was absolutely amazing. I stayed with six different people, and every single stay was learnful and fun.
Since then, I've couchsurfed across the world - in China, Vietnam, USA, UK, France, Holland, Brazil, etc. - and only had great experiences so far!
Interests
I'm interested in religion, philosophy, psychology, biology, smoking waterpibe, dancing, good music, interesting conversations, etc...

Music, Movies, and Books
I used to be very much into the progressive rock of Dream Theater when I was a teenager. Nowadays not so much, but I listen to almost every kind of music, depending on my mood. I really dig the danish band Efterklang.
Movies I like: 'Into The Wild' and 'Untouchable' (the one about the quadriplegic) - and this is not movies but I have seen every single episode of Friends 4-5 times, and the same goes for How I Met Your Mother. Suit Up!
When it comes to books, I mostly read science stuff. I really enjoy Richard Dawkins' books. In addition, I dig 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy', and '1984'.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I like to do some weird things now and then - for instance, I have some good friends that I went to a danish folk highschool with (a special kind of boarding school), and we used to dress up like a 70's metal band with big wigs and silver-pants every year at the reunion, unleashing our inner Guns 'n Roses!
This might not qualify as 'amazing', but it was great fun.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share some salsa moves and a whole bunch of weird findings from evolutionary psychology that might rock your world (or maybe not).
