About Me
Hi! I’m easy-going, adventurous, and love to travel! I’m into living well, making good stories, connecting with people, and I approach the world with a big open heart. I’m mom to three awesome boys …and 22 chickens.
I’m just getting re-started on Couchsurfing and cannot wait. This summer of 2022 I’m embarking on a solo adventure while the kids are away at camp and I’m sooooo excited! I spontaneously bought a plane ticket to Europe and am throwing this trip together last minute. As a family of five, we haven’t attempted much Couchsurfing yet, but as a solo traveler I really hope to be able to use this platform to connect.
I love so many things these days! Hiking and backpacking, dancing, the outdoors, gardening, theater, people and conversation, skiing, photography, old houses, history, coffee and wine, alternative lifestyles, evolution, anthropology, human relationships, biomechanics and exercise, self-expression in all its forms.
As a family, we spent three months traveling abroad in 2019 before pre-covid. We didn’t have much luck finding Couchsurfing hosts for a family, so we haven’t actually Couchsurfed yet. I’m excited to travel solo and give it another try!
I have three boys ages 9, 11 and 14 who are adventurous travelers and curious and kind souls, but who won’t be with me on my travels this summer.
I left my city career a long time ago in favor of a more authentic, slower life on an somewhat remote island on the Pacific Northwest coast of the USA.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
