About Me

Hello,

My life follows the seasons. Winter is for skiing at Bridger Bowl and Pilates at the Bozeman Hot Springs. That transitions into gardening and beekeeping. I love exploring the outdoors and seeing the natural beauty. I've been studying and practicing consciousness and spirituality for decades. I read and study diversely and deeply. Love good healthy food and a variety of conscious music from all over the world. I've been a corporate executive and a bio-dynamic farmer. I've been in Bozeman for about five years.

Of note, I'm extremely sensitive (allergic) to synthetic perfumes and fragrances and petrochemicals. Burnt cook oil included.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting new people and like diversity. I travel on a budget. It's nice to meet people and learn the local lore and hot spots. I enjoy tour guiding and introducing people to my home area.

Music, Movies, and Books

It's hard to list a favorite. I usually have 3-7 books going concurrently. So, I'll list off my current stack: Spirit Lead Instead by Jenai Lane, The Wild Muir by John Muir, Me in the Temple of Heaven by Susan Jane Gilman, The Dali Lama, Wilderness Medicine, Essential Oil Textbooks....on an update, lots of beekeeping books, Jack Kornfield, Isabella Wentz, Norman Doidge, MD.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunrise at Summer Lake Hot Springs with the first layers of snow on the ground. Interacting with the art at Burning Man. Sunrise or sunset from the top of Haleakala. A gigantic bowl of Jamaican Lilicoi (passion fruit) that I grew. Fresh Axis deer venison back strap in red wine reduction sauce. The hummingbird I rescued and held in my hand and the moment that it lifted off and flew away like Tinker Bell or a UFO.

On a cold smoke day, a patroller flew off a cliff, barely visible, followed by his search and rescue dog who caught a good 80' of air, back in a full arch, then plunged into the snow, completely buried while running under the powder for several yards then broke the surface like a dolphin leaping in and out of the waves full speed ahead.

Teach, Learn, Share

Color therapy and sound healing. Flow arts dance. My home is set up as a physical therapy haven. Proper breathing. Self healing. Organization skills for geeks.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A conscientious tidy guest. Leave the room better than you found it. Gardening, building healthy soil, beekeeping, bee venom therapy, essential oils, rehabilitating from surgery or injury, healthy eating, business management, starting local organizations, community organizing.
