I'm looking to connect more with local and authentic experiences. I went on an AFS summer exchange program when I was 17 and have been interested in connecting with people and a travel-a-holic ever since. I travel whenever I can do so and enjoy house mates and guests from many places. Enjoy sharing a glass of wine or craft beer, making a meal together, plays, cultural experiences, museums, scuba diving, sailing, kayaking, boating - anything on or around the water. I lived overseas in college and loved it, have been to 48 countries for work and pleasure, and have strong interest in South and SE Asia. Have a strong environmental interest and ethic. Have conducted training programs in Korea and Indonesia on marine protected areas. I can get by with tourist questions in a variety of languages but none fluently - I studied German and French, and dabbled in Spanish and Italian. Love to explore...

I was a competitive ice skater as a kid.
I lived with a family as an exchange student for a summer.
I lived on a scuba dive boat in a remote place in Indonesia in Raja Ampat for a week.
I traveled in India for 6 weeks.
