ABOUT ME

I'm new to the couchsurfing community but feel like I've come home.

My first trip out of the states was Costa Rica and shortly there after worked at a travel agency. I learned alot of airport codes and industry terms, and visited some beautiful countries, but I soon realized that I wasn't interested in promoting escaping from life. I was much more interested in living life and I believe you can't really do that on a tour bus or an all inclusive resort. Being comfortable is a sure fire way to miss all the fun or learn anything new about yourself.

So, its back to waiting tables, finishing school, saving for my next adventure and having as much fun in the process as possible. I love to laugh and dance more than anything. Where I'm from we celebrate, EVERYTHING, any excuse for a party, even hurricanes. :)

South Louisiana has some problems, but there is lots of beauty too and if I have the opportunity to meet you then I hope I can show you what I love about my home. I'm open minded and laid back and am always up for a cold beer and a chat.

I am a total Sci-fi/fantasy nerd. But film in general facinates and moves me. Children of Men, Casablanca, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The Wizard of Oz, The Hangover, Superbad, Moulin Rouge, The Fifth Element, Sideways are just a few of my favs. I love any music I can dance to!
Books-Eat Pray Love, A Journey of One's Own, In Cold Blood, Catcher in the Rye, Anything by Lonely Planet, Everything written by Mark Twain or Hemingway.
