About Me

CURRENT MISSION

being a responsible, professional adult with a wicked rad social life

ABOUT ME

'You're different' was what my colleague told me recently. I work at a small university on a mountain top by day, and in the evenings i go to shows (indie-insert-sub-genre-here type stuff, whatever that means these days), and recently joined of those type of bands playing bass. I'm working on my German and enjoying the hell outta living in Europe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm pretty new to couch surfing, but i have good friends who swear by it. I'd like to get involved by hosting people, and of course, couchsurfing myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far, but hoping to build up some experience here!

Interests

I love bright colours, riding my bicycle, drinking good red wine, travelling, taking pictures, going to shows, playing shows, djing, making clothes and jewellery, and you know, other stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books

www.last.fm/lynxicorn hosts a pretty detailed account of the music i listen to.

As for books i generally read non-fiction; right now on my desk i have books on physics, philosophy, a personal account of one woman's travels in pursuit of a masters in russian literature, the new york times manual of style and usage, a book on fonts, a critical response to the cult of positivism in america, and a trashy swedish novel. Filmwise, lots of indie/experimental/non-blockbuster type business, and admittedly a a soft spot for historical epics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

climbed the great wall of china, played in the south pacific waves at sunset on new year's eve, rode a galloping horse alongside lago de atitlan in guatemala, danced tango (well tried to) in buenos aires....

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Belize, China, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Austria, Canada, South Korea
