ABOUT ME
I'm an Australian, I got the travel bug early, my dad used to write for those lonely planet books and we'd go travelling alot.
I have dual citizenship, Australian - Swiss, some people find that interesting. And if I'm not going anywhere i don't feel like i'm doing anything, so keeping active is important to me.
I love taking trains.
PHILOSOPHY
If you're not going anywhere, you're not doing anything.
I reckon being open and happy starts with yourself then improves everything else.
and there's nothing like a good-night's sleep
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to be cheery and funny, I try to make people feel better in everyday life just by smiling more, saying hi, helping out or opening doors.
I havent settled down so I can't offer a couch all the time. But I really like showing hospitality to people, cooking meals and taking time to show people around.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Mostly when I have been to a party and missed the last train, and someone offers a floor until the next day.
With Couchsurfing.com I've been to a few places around Europe. My hosts have always been interesting and have been able to show me things in town I'd never find on my own. I really appreciate it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like really trashy dumb movies and classics, not much a fan of horror/slasher flicks or romantic things. Love a good laugh and physics in action. I'll listen to anything music wise, my collection goes Bach - Beach Boys - Pantera - Flogging Molly. Not much of a reader, i find it hard to make time even though a good book can be one of the most rewarding things ever.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I guess one of the quiet but great moments was getting up early in Stockholm and going ice skating in the archipelago with a friend. It was almost spring and the ice wasnt at all recommended, we skated from Stockholm to Norvikken, about 11km away and back. It was scary as hell to feel and see the ice sheet cracking under us. But it was beautiful to skate in the sunrise amoungst the rocks and little towns.
Teach, Learn, Share
i like the practical skills, if someone needed help fixing a bike or building a shed or moving furniture, I'd be really pleased to help out.
