Read my blog adizzylife.com; read george's blog somesenseandnonsense.com for a feel for who we are. We have a house full of art books and records and CD's and other books, and china (I love china cups and plates; my current faves are a hello kitty plate and a beautiful china cup I purchased at a thrift store celebrating Queen Elizabeth 2's ascention to the throne.

We're starting! More info as it happens. We live in an amazing part of an amazing city and wish to share.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We hope to go to England and have some. Elisabeth, Genie's daughter, couchsurfed through Europe this summer and had a wonderful time, so we'd love to host some interesting people from around the world, and gain some couchsurfing experiences ourselves.

Interests

Genie here--I read everything placed in front of me--those toothpaste tubes do tend to go on. George, Lis, and I have a rather eclectic taste in music, I]'m sure you'd find something you'd like but haven't yet heard. My current fave is the Reverend Louis Overstreet. His widow lives only a few scant blocks from here. He and his sons would plug their guitars into a nearby bar and play something that can only be described as trance-gospel.

Music, Movies, and Books

All the good stuff, pipples. The Big Lebowski, anything by Wes Anderson, I don't know. Books--too numerous to mention. But I am happily buying up the 25th anniversary Taschen art books. Current Faves Schiele and "Masterpieces of Illumination."

Music? Brian Eno; Nico; the Mountain Goats, the Flamiing Lips, Bonny Prince Billy, The Doors (esp. the bootlegs) early faces (oh-my-god) Sonic Youth, the Sex Pistols, the Clash, etc. etc. etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was at the Berlin wall just a couple of days after it came down. Pretty awesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

I make great pie crusts. And I have a special technique! Plus I have a special sure-fire way to make good pasta. You can also hit me up for random intellectual property law shit. But not too specific.
