ABOUT ME

Sophie: I'm a chirpy girl, and can be very talkative as well as very quiet. I prefer wandering around in very small streets, trying to avoid the crowds and love to discover the treasures that every country has to offer.
I love to cook, make my place a real home for everybody and yes, I will keep asking you if you're feeling comfortable and if you need something.

I like chilling out watching a good movie at home or reading books while drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows. I love testing new restaurants, going to temporary exhibitions and wandering in fleamarkets
I'm always eager to learn new things, especially when it comes to culture (and languages :)).

Patrick: spontaneous, sometimes funny and I like table tennis, a good craft beer and laughing loudly.
I'm interested in modern art as long as I can get what I see. I'm studying electrical engineering without really knowing where electricity stands in that subject. I'm a nerd but a funny, outgoing one.
I like the fact that one can build so many memories and adventures while travelling. I'm not that good at languages but I'm good in Maths.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sophie & Patrick: Sophie hosted many people when in Prague but since leaving in Munich, not much time for anything. We got to host many people who hosted both of us or just Sophie in the past, and got hosted by people Sophie hosted in Prague, once after 4 years!
Otherwise just talking, learning a lot from the others, saving backpackers from their loneliness, maybe teaching too...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Sophie: I've had a few experiences in surfing couches at first and it was really amazing ! I've loved to spend some time with each of them, talking, visiting, laughing... that is what made my trips the ones I will always remember !
After having hosted many people in the past, we both attended and organised CS events.
Patrick: I was hosted for the first time by Sophie in Prague after having met her on a train and then we were couchsurfing together in Czech Republic. I didn't know about it earlier but she's always embarking on those crazy ideas that end up being really good. A particular experience what Couchsurfing through Iran as a couple. We will both remember it forever and made some very dear friends.

I really like classic English books also and modern American literature (Hemingway is one my favourites).

Movies. I like everything but horror movies and sci fi. I love cinema, from action movies to romance, but I'm unfortunately not a good fan of old movies, maybe I just did not watch the great ones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sophie: Travelling around India by myself during my time off when I was just 19. I think I might have been a bit crazy
Patrick: couchsurfing around Iran. And being rebuffed at the Iranian border (a year before finally being able to travel around Iran). It's actually a funny story.

Teach, Learn, Share

Sophie: Special skills ? mmh I speak French and quite good English... can cook a bit (crêpes...) the usual stuff. Oh and I know how to make friendship bracelets (kids never loose an occasion to remind me that...)

Patrick: I can teach you about table tennis, German, and go on very long and boring (that's what Sophie thinks) explanations about everything concerning my studies.
