About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Renovate my flat to make my wife and my guests even more happier.

ABOUT ME

I love meeting new people from different cultures and this is why I have been receiving guests at my home and travelling myself all over the world for many years. My main interests are people and traveling, mountaineering, adventure races. I am a biker and mountain lover as well. I traveled by bike in Finland, Germany (only in the cities) and in Russia and climbed in Caucasus, Hibiny, Ural and Pamir-Alay (Tadzhikistan).

PHILOSOPHY

Be goal-oriented and enjoy the process.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new at CS, but not new in Hospitality movement. I am receiving and been received since 1996.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Every country I traveled I always was looking for an opportunity to stay with the locals for it is the only way to experience the country.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am not a movie lover, usually I get bored because modern films are so artificial and I just do not have time for them (but if you can advertise something good I will give it a try). The only TV production I generally appreciate is BBC, especially by Sir David Attenborough and Robert Winston.

Recent years I got addicted to audiobooks. I am “reading” audio books almost all the time. Mostly history or traveling books, but also fiction; right now I am in the middle of adventure of "Good Soldier Schweik" by Y. Gashek.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Adventure race RedFox 2007 in polar region was unforgettable.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to use ropes (for climbing and rescue missions), make knots, and to deal with some mountaineering gear.

I can share some TTC materials and one can learn so much from it.
