Overview
About Me
Hi, I am a foreign language teacher and a translator. I am originally from Chelyabinsk (that's the town where the meteor recently fell down ) in the Ural mountains, in the middle of Russia, not yet Siberia ;-) Now it is 7 years that I live in Moscow. I speak English for my job and Italian for my hobby. I like traveling and learning that is why I travelled in Italy and studied there: first in Rome and then in Siena. Generally I travelled in Europe (some provinces in Italy, brief tours to France, Austria, Germany), UK and Ireland and in Asia (the Philippines and Cambodia). I have taken a lengthy vacation this year to see some other places in Europe that I have not seen before or that I liked so much that I want to see them again.
I am communicative, and eager to meet new people and make new friends.
I do not have pets, I used to have a dog and a cat in my parents' home, so when I have my own place I will have a pet as well.
I do not smoke. I drink a glass of wine with a good dinner and with a good friend. In Italy I liked the tradition of aperitivo :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have heard from my friends that couchsurfing is a good way not only to see the place you are going to, but also to get to know new people who can share their local experience and knowledge with you. I thought that this is a great idea and a good way to meet people.
I do have some friends abroad and visit them whenever I can, but I do not mind to "enlarge the geography". And may be you are thinking of planning a trip to Russia? I can be of help to answer some questions.
Interests
Languages, travel, sightseeing and picture taking, social networking, blogging, knitting, I also tried ceramics and panting and totally loved this. I tried yoga and now I practice hanna somatic exercises (after I had some problems with my back).

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: pop, when I travel I ask for the local music, may be folk, I liked celtic and highland music in Scotland, I am fond of Italian music and fondly followed Sanremo festival.
Movies: different really starting from girlish like Bridget Jones and Love actually, to Lord of the rings.
Books: I have been reading too much professional literature I think, so will gladly take any recommendations on good reads.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My trip in Scotland was amazing, did not expect it to impact me that much! I was totally carried away with northern beauty of Highlands.
