About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Seeing this crazy world! There's always something new to see and to enjoy!
ABOUT ME
Well, how to start... I am a relaxed girl, who likes travelling (duhh!), coffee, wine and good food. Favourite hobby is people-watching. I'd like to be creative, and I have a degree in Media Studies but also in Graphic Design. I'm working as an arts teacher (secondary school) in Rotterdam 3 days a week, and spending the other days getting my teaching degree and doing some freelance graphic design jobs. Mostly, I like to go out with friends, see museums, work very hard for my students and enjoy myself drinking beer in my favourite bar in Rotterdam.
As a person I'm extremely curious and love to learn new things! ("Everyday is a school day", someone told me, and I love that phrase.) Therefore I love to read, travel a lot and like to talk to people. I think that being curious is a really good asset when you're a teacher: I always want to know more about my students and my profession. Interested in history, languages, art, psychology, etc.etc.
PHILOSOPHY
Why do things the hard way if they can be done the easy way?!
But also (and that might be contradictive): WORK HARD / PLAY HARD. I think lots of things can be organised better, so that life will be easier. But at the same time I'm also a bit of a perfectionist: it better be good!!! (in work as in fun!)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I got to know a few people through Couchsurfing when I was travelling in Spain/Portugal. Don't have a computer or phone with me when I travel, so therefore I cannot spend a lot of time writing and reading requests. I like to see where the road brings me and don't plan too much beforehand.
I hosted a few girls in my own place: that's been really good - just like having friends over to stay.

An errupting volcano in Ecuador and bitten by a blue-footed boobie in the Galapagos. Visiting Chernobyl, Auschwitz and Moscow in one trip: very cheerful events I would say... Waking up at an white sanded beach in Mexico at the Equinox. Or in the middle of the Sahara (well, not the middle) in Morocco covered in sand.
