Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find it easy to get stuck in a specific social circle. I've been using Couchsurfing ever since I heard about it because I believe in people's natural kindness. It enables us to make connections in distant places and keeps traveling from becoming a sterile experience.
When I am traveling, I am a lot more curious about people's stories and lifestyle than seeing a big building or a famous view. Couchsurfing is a great way for me to drop into someone's life, get to understand them and sometime make a connection.
I've met a lot of my long term friends on Couchsurfing, I am very grateful for that.

The way l use Couchsurfing is not as a free Airbnb. If I am just passing by a city and don't have time to spend with my host at all then I will take an hotel room.
