Overview
About Me
Hello I am Maria! I am a very friendly and outgoing person. Although I come from Latin America I am terrible at dancing, but I can make that up with conversation and my attempt at making jokes.
I love reading, playing the guitar and watching football, unfortunately I suck at the playing the sport, so I´ll just remain an spectator.
I also enjoy learning languages and watching foreign films, and I'm interested in artsy projects.
My major in University is International Relations, which explains why I love traveling and cultures and learning as many languages as I can or at least learning how to say hello in another one.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here since several of my friends recommended the site. I'm hoping to find a nice place to stay and meet nice people on my upcoming trip to Europe. I think it is always great when you meet new people and are able to share.
Interests
I'm really interested in learning about languages.
Music, is also one of of my passions and I'm always looking for great stories through songs.

Music, Movies, and Books
Indie Music, Folk Music. Ed Sheeran, Gabrielle Aplin and Morat are my current favorites, although the list is constantly changing, but Oasis remains in my heart.
My favorite movie is The Illusionist and The Fight Club (Yeah, I love Ed Norton)
but I'll watch almost any drama or comedy (odd combination), so Pinaple express or The Dictator are always a good choice with me.
My two favorite books are 1984 by George Orwell and the Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton. So I guess I can say I love dystopian books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed the Peñol Rock in Colombia, and the view was amazing. It was like 1100 stairs, but it is something that everyone must do when they visit Medellin.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love everything related to languages so I'm always open to learning about it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food, drinks and a conversation, that probably will include fun facts at some point.
