About Me

I consider myself a pretty outgoing, openminded and polite traveller. I have developed a strong passion for new cultures, people, and places during my life as I was born in Ukraine and moved as a refugee to Germany and the United States. Having this kind of migrational background provides you with particular perspectives that make you cherish things more and make you not take many things in life for granted.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great resource for travellers and those who promote travelling.

I used to host people often when I lived in Cologn, however, this was not linked to Couchsurfing but rather a personal thing encouraged by friends and private recommendations. As I am travelling much more now and after hearing so many positive feedbacks from friends about this particular community, I am happy to finally become part of it too and I am looking forward to meeting new people and enjoy the opportunities that our century is offering us.

Interests

Always you should be learning something new - so engaging in something social and local is a priority. I like to hike, cycle, do sports and attend cultural or political events.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have an interest in all sorts of music and movies from arthouse to comedies and documentaries. I can appreciate music over the decades from psych, prog, punk, new wave, electronic, grunge, hip-hop, rap. Chances are, if you like talking a lot about these things, then we'd get along.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I deeply believe in the phrase that people usually tend to regret the things they have done and not the ones the haven't. This is why I moved to Los Angeles to a woman that I barely knew right after finishing high school in order to start a new life in the US. Of course, things didn't turn out exactly the way I expected, but it was indeed an amazing (if not crazy) thing that I've done. And many more amazing things keep happening all the time...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share everything I have starting from my experience up to the skills that I attained over the course of my life. :)
