ABOUT ME

I'm a 24 year old student, who recently moved to Stockholm to study and live here for two years. My heart is like Hermione's handbag: it looks normal from the outside, but always has room for new people to love and care for. I tend to be a thinker with a creative mind which makes me into a serious person on occasion, but I live for a good laugh :)

PHILOSOPHY

Yes... Why do we live? Isn't that a question we all seek to answer? I'm not sure there actually is a purpose to our existence, but while trying to find out I hope to make people happy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm here to surf and host; to touch the lives of the people around me, and to have my soul stirred up by you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couch has been surfed many times now, but only a few times yet through this website. Hopefully that number will increase. I have been privileged to surf with quite a number of absolutely adorable people now, and I would like to do something in return for the community.
Since last summer, I've had my first own surfing experiences in a long journey through France, Italy and Switzerland. I have only wonderful memories to those sunny days and all the excellent hosts. Truly each and every one of them has been amazingly kind to me and made this part of Europe come to live for me.
Last year (2011) I had three more surfing journeys, one through the New England part of the USA, one through Scandinavia, and one through Switzerland, France, the UK and Berlin. Again, thanks to surfing local people with big hearts, each time was unforgettably influenced in a positive way by this fantastic initiative.

Interessi

Um... well, let me think. My former boyfriend used to call me a walking encyclopedia for classical music sometimes, which is not true, but I guess I'm pretty interested in it. On the other hand, he had a collection of some 800 CD's of pop and all other kinds of modern music and slowly I'm learning what's out there next to ´regulars´ such as Coldplay, Adele, Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, Jamie Cullum and so on.

I like sports, but apart from outdoor climbing there's nothing in particular. I tend to keep myself in good health by running now and then and I love water sports in general.

Last thing worth mentioning is my interest in languages and linguistics. Along the same line, on occasion I like to write, both prose and poetry.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

In the winterland of south Poland I was in a particularly slow train that ploughed itself a way through the snow. For almost half an hour, a deer walked alongside my window. While I watched her in growing astonishment, she peeked at me and her eyes told a story of equal curiosity for the strange metal mammal she observed. It was one of those occasions where the mute crossing of glances said more than a thousand words.

Insegna, impara, condividi

I'm a professional violinist and a qualified teacher. My instrument comes with me most of the places I go, so there's a good chance I can teach you a string to pluck, or a tune to bow. I know a couple things about cellular biology as well, and I'm always ready to share my passion for life, or to absorb whatever you can teach. Mostly though, I like to share the love that can be found at almost any corner of this world.
