Overview
About Me
I love good breakfasts, need meditation, and love self-awareness and chilled vibes.
Music comes to me as one really nice trip. I love jazz and all sorts of genres. Discover new stuff through others just delights me. It's amazing how one can take us through paths we wouldn't necessarily chose but are so damm fun!! Unfortunately I still don't play any instrument but if you know how to you're probably going to make my day. I already lived with some musicians and I just love the parfume of music on the air... even rehearsing (which a lot of people just can't stand! :)
In fact it's really easy to make my day.
Sometimes meeting someone and share a nice moment together is just enough. Grab a byte or drink a coffee and just enjoy that simplicity. In fact I love to meet people and let the interaction flow. I am curious about the world and the people, love architecture, design, art in general, as well as sailing and the sea. Whenever possible I love to make those around me feel confortable.
I Like to cook, but never for me alone. A nice conversation with a good friend will just do my day. If I am somewhere with someone and enjoying it I never want to interrupt to go and do anything else (even when I have to...). After all I think all I can honestly give is my full atention in any given moment.
Going on a walk and check some amazing landscapes - be it nature or cities - it's also something I really like to do... and if on the top of that there's a little tea and a smile: TOP!
In the end - though quite cliché - I do believe that sharing is caring!
If you wanna check some stuff I've been up to you can check these ig profiles (ig: @sailing_mater @illustrationmater)... if you wanna know more about other projects I'm engaged with just text me and I might be able to share some links*
More...
Well... I grew up in Lisbon (POR) with my parents and my brother. None of us was born here but we are all portuguese. My father was born in Goa (IND), my mother in Maputo (MOZ) and me and my brother in diferent locations in the States (USA). Though I was born overlooking the Mississipi, my mother took me to Portugal w/ 15 days old and until now I never went back (one day maybe).
PHILOSOPHY
Honest Simplicity! (as much as possible)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
WHY
There's something magical to be able to share undivided atention with someone and have the good chance to meet people that really feel good to talk to and spend some time with... It also made me a couple of really nice lasting friendships. I'm deeply grateful for that*

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am just an ordinary guy. Anyway, some time ago I developed w/ a friend a project for a beautiful bamboo building in the border of Thailand to be a school for burmese refugees. We devised an on site prefab system based on an enhanced traditional building techniques holistic approach hoping to simplify and easen costs, environmental impact and construction. Some years ago I went to see things by myself… the school will probably never get built but I stayed working as a yacht skipper sailing around the Andaman Sea for almost a year. Not what I imagined but quite amazing, though!
Teach, Learn, Share
Drawing, Architecture, Construction, Sail... To tell the truth I do believe in Information Society: so, I am an open book. If I do have some knowlege you want, just take it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Depends on the day... :) we are all about alignments. But just go through my skills and whatever you want i'll try to offer you. Sometimes I also have some more a less interesting stories...
