About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get the most out of life!

ABOUT ME

I love life and I always try to get the most out of it. Intense moments and happiness. I'm open minded to new experiences. Visit new places. Meet new people. History, culture and costumes. Learn more. Do more. I'm close-minded, difficult-going and totally boring - not funny. I love to make new friends and to know interesting people.

PHILOSOPHY

"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever" - Mahatma Gandhi

"Aimer, ce n'est pas se regarder l'un l'autre, c'est regarder ensemble dans la même direction" - Antoine de Saint Exupéry

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really love to get to know people and make new friends, walk around and talk a lot! To me this is the true CS experience. If you just need a "free hostel" to sleep, please do not send a request.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

At the first times, I had surfed couches in Belgrade (Serbia) where I met Marco. And in Mostar (Bosnia Herzegovina) where I stayed at Steffanos and Annas place. I stayed with Dogan in Istambul. None of these were arranged through CS site.

Then through CS I got to know and stayed with Gulsen in Istambul and then she also stayed at my place in Lisbon in 2012, and again in 2013 with her boyfriend :)

After that I got addicted and I hosted lots of surfers in Lisbon, from: Netherlands, Germany, Canada, USA, Hong Kong, South Korea, China, Russia, Brazil, Argentina, Czech Republic, Finland..

Interests

I love travelling, making friends and learning languages. I love art and culture: music, photography, cinema, theater, painting, dancing, books, museums, monuments.

I love listening to music and to play the guitar, piano and to sing. Taking photographs.

I feel home when I'm in the nature. Earth, Trees and Animals.
I defend ecological sustainability and vegetarianism as much as possible (exceptions made to trying local traditional food). Political and civil awareness and stand up for the rights. Peace amongst humans and equality.

I also love doing sports:
swimming, walking in nature, dancing, rock climbing, surfing, tennis, football (soccer), body-boarding, cycling, skating.

My professional life is related to the Software Industry, so I'm also a geek (technology guy). I'm also a Photographer and giving my first steps as music composer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Experienced: the abyssal monuments in Egypt and it's ancient History. The most romantic places in the world, like Paris and the Greek islands. The multiracial and multireligion acceptance in Bosnia & Herzegovina capitol, Sarajevo. Smiley, welcoming people of India :) São Tomé, a virgin paradise on earth.

Done: jumped down to the metro line to drag back up and save a young couple that fell down because of alcohol, hit the head against the railway when falling and became unconscious in a lake of blood. Both survived after ambulance and meds arrived taking them to Hospital.

The ability to stand up again, whenever I fall.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about Photography, about Portugal, Portuguese language and culture. How to play classical guitar.
Learn about other countries & cultures. I love to share and people who love to share: moments, thoughts, stories, food :) everything
