About Me
When I was young I just wanted to finish high school, get a degree and live abroad.
After graduating from high school I had no idea what I wanted to study on my bachelor degree so I randomly choose psychology.
Psychology was the only thing resembling a real profession that didn't involve maths. At that time that sounded like a nice idea.
Every vacation or free time I had would be enough of an excuse to travel. I mostly targeted Europe at that time.
I taught myself English during my university time and had two years of Russian classes. I have to use English every day so nowadays I'm very good on it. I don't have to use Russian not even once a month so nowadays I forgot everything. Sometimes I think about it and it makes me sad.
After finally finishing my studies I came to realise that my degree would be just an useless piece of paper on my hands and left Brazil 16 days after receiving my final grades. Approved? Yes. Nothing more holding me here? No. Ok, let's leave. That was in December 2014. It wasn't until July 2017 that I applied for the actual diploma.
I went to Thailand, to teach English in their countryside. It was funny for me to teach a language that I never had formal classes of. I had no idea where to start. It was fun though.
After it I did some more volunteering in Thailand, went to Cambodia for an obnoxious weekend, got without any cash and headed to Vietnam. I taught English there for 6 months and during that process I discovered that I hate kids.
After Vietnam I went to Indonesia, then back to Vietnam. I crossed the whole country on a motorbike. An old, 2011, Honda 110cc. It was one of the coolest experiences of my life. 5000km with my Korean bro, Si, by my side. It's a shame you don't know what "5000km" means, Si.
I came to China mid-last year. First to Beijing, then to Wuhan. Beijing was bad, Wuhan was excellent. I decided to stay even though I didn't know why.
I tried to have Chinese classes at university but dropped after 2 months. Maybe less.
Vietnam again for 2,5 more months. Got cheated by the English school's boss then I came back to China. First to Tianjin, then Beijing again. I learned that Beijing is not for me. Definitely.
I went back to Brazil and found that I missed it so much. The weather, the people, the food. Brazilian culture is the best, really. Specially if you've been born and raised there. It rocks.
Now I work from home, writting stuff. Even though the salary is kind of (very) low it gives me freedom to be anywhere I want. I want to use this freedom the best I can :D
