Overview
About Me
We are friendly people who believe that interaction between different people is the essence of society. We interpret travel as a mean to explore differences and widen our horizon. We love to talk about everything...from the most serious to the most stupid argument. We believe in equality of opportunities, freedom, respect and the joy of the small things in life. We hope to be able to transfer some of these values to our little Jona. We hope that meeting new people will also teach Jona how not to be afraid of the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Marcello understood couchsurfing was an amazing idea when I was in India, in March 2007. He met a girl that told me about her couchsurfing experience in India, when she was hosted by....the major of the town!!! When he was back, Marcello started hosting and participating to meeting, and then went travelling again, and again, and again...
From then, for many years Marcello met so many amazing people, and some of them became very good friends. Marcello still rates Couchsurfing as the biggest revolution in his way of travelling.
When Marcello met Stephanie, the two went on to couchsurf together in Iran, which was a real blessing. It made them see the complex Iranian society from a privileged point of view and cancelled any trace of prejudice, while at the same time highlighted the contrasts and problems.
Now that we are three, we are eager to find couchsurfers that are willing to host...a family! ...or being hosted in an apartment where at 10 pm everyone already sleeps :-)
Interests
We love to walk, to speak, to eat, to swim in the sea, to laugh laudly, to stay alone, to get together, to decide and to doubt. We like the smile in people's face and the conversations.
