About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I simply want to do everything.

ABOUT ME

I graduated from university last year after studying International Business and French, Chinese, and German. Then I lived in China teaching English for 6 months. Now I am back in the US saving money until my next adventure.
I am really laid back and tend to get along with most everyone.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in enjoying life. Perhaps not the most financially sound philosophy, but it has done me well. I want to be able to say that I accepted most every challenge or opportunity available to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am just starting to participate in the CS Project but hope to meet other CSers in my area and grow to surf and host as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My only experience thus far was meeting a surfer through a friend. I liked how comfortable it was meeting new people and simply talking about ourselves and our travels/interests.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Anything from Boondock Saints to Serendipity. I typically watch action or comedy movies.
Music: Another eclectic collection on my part. I usually listen to top hits for the beat or convenience but seek out more older rock music, including the Ramones and the Beatles.
Books: I go through a lot of cookbooks. I enjoy classics on occasion, my favorite being Pride and Prejudice but recently I've been reading some travel books about being an expat that I've enjoyed and I remember liking Chuck Closterman a lot when I read his books last

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My favorite moment from living in China was after leaving my home planning to simply get breakfast quickly I ended up instead crossing town to a park I had heard of. After wandering and taking some pictures I ran into these musicians and they asked me to sing with them. We quickly learned that the only English songs they knew the music to was Happy Birthday and Jingle Bells so I sang Jingle Bells with an elderly group of Chinese people while they played on a very antique looking instrument. We must have looked ridiculous. It was beautiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can help any language practice including English, French, and some Chinese. I've been told also that I'm a great cook and could teach some recipes I've learned around the world.
Learn: I would love to practice my languages more and am open to learning whatever can be offered.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Burkina Faso, Germany, Netherlands

Countries I’ve Lived In
