About Me
ABOUT ME
I am a recently graduated young person who is taking some time to travel a bit before getting back to work in the studio.
Just taking some time to figure out what I want my life to be. So far, looks like it will involve lots of printmaking, trying to live a healthy life, and participating in activism of various sorts (environmental, social, political...)
PHILOSOPHY
"A Klee painting named âAngelus Novusâ shows an angel looking as though he is about to move away from something he is fixedly contemplating. His eyes are staring, his mouth is open, his wings are spread. This is how one pictures the angel of history. His face is turned toward the past. Where we perceive a chain of events, he sees one single catastrophe which keeps piling wreckage upon wreckage and hurls it in front of his feet. The angel would like to stay, awaken the dead, and make whole what has been smashed. But a storm is blowing in from Paradise; it has got caught in his wings with such violence that the angel can no longer close them. This storm irresistibly propels him into the future to which his back is turned, while the pile of debris before him grows skyward. This storm is what ...we call progress." - Walter Benjamin
"Only connect" - E. M. Forster
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am a new member so my participation thus far has been limited to meeting up with people, as I am currently on the move and unable to host. This has been good fun and I look forward to being able to host in 2011!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met up a few times with some couchsurfers in Bangkok. It's nice to meet new people, share, and take some time to stand back and both appreciate and analyse the city you live in. I especially love talking food.

Teach, Learn, Share
I love to scout out "favourite places" in cities. I love to share this information. My favourite places most likely include art galleries or ateliers, great hang outs or cafes, parks, libraries, restaurants (definitely), and markets. Also, hidden gems like ice cream shops, independent stores, and junk shops. Other things I have to offer are my skills with language and printmaking (for any artists looking to travel the world, like me), opinions, stories, the usual stuff we've all got stored away up in there. I'm interested in the possibility of synchronicitous encounters with new and amazing people and learning from their experiences too.
