ABOUT ME

I was born in China, but I lived my entire life in Quebec, Canada - this where my home and heart are. The only Chinese thing about me is pretty much my appearance.

I study in a health oriented program in a university in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

In 2014, I just took a gap year and I completed a world tour. I painted and studied art in Spain, I backpacked the whole South East Asia, and scuba dived with the marvellous marine species, and I also bicycled for 4 weeks in New Zealand's savage beauty.

I am also involved in some volunteering activities.
When I'm in Montreal, I tutor and play with children in La Fondation du Dr. Julien and helped to organize social events for my studies program. I also volunteered during 2 years as a national coordinator for internships through IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Student's Association). I also volunteered at a place called ' La Maison du Pere' which is a refugee for homeless people.
When I'm in Trois-Rivieres, I sometimes walk dogs for SPA (society for animal protection), and I sometimes volunteer in La Maison Grandi-Ose, where I'm trying to help people who have physical and / or intellectual disabilities. I also helped a fair trade place to run.

I like to hang out with my friends, do outside activities, and of course I love to travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

- I don't have enough room to invite people to sleep at mine, but as soon as I will, some couch will be available for you ! :) Which probably means starting next summer !

- if you come in Montreal, depending where I'm I can take you around. I have a cat, for a few days my roommate is not around so I might be able to host you. I live in a cool neighborhood (Mile-End) that is central, has tons of street art, cafés, and is well covered by public transportation, well especially buses.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

- Most recently in 2019, my friend and I bicycled to Burlington, where we ended up couchsurfing!
- during 2014, I surfed in London in 2 places, in Sabadell (Barcelona's suburb), in Bangkok (Thailand) and in Auckland (NZ)
- I've surfed in Brooklyn, NYC, before I took a flight to Africa. It was a nice experience !
- I've used couchsurfing when I did backpacking in 2010 in Europe. I slept
twice at some people's nice place : once in the suburbs of Paris and once in Milano, Italia.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

movies : I like complicated stories or fantastic stories with parallels to reality ;) such as Inception, Cloud Atlas, the Fall, Slumdog Millionaire, V for Vendetta
music : I have a tendency to listen to what I’d call smooth electronic music such as Caribou, Rüfus du Sol, M83. I'm impressed by the sounds Arcade Fire can produce.

I can teach languages, I like to learn languages, and I want to share a different kind of living, discussions to blow my mind !
