It is difficult to get a real pulse of the vibrance of the Filipino culture if you simply hop-on and hop-off a tour bus. You need somebody willing to take you around to sample the odd street food, show you how to eat balut and point you to the best place for roasted pig! That would be me!

Scuba diving remains my first love. It has introduced me to various islands here in my country and I am extremely grateful. Food is the close second. I will eat almost anything! Photography, travel, cooking, Pixar movies, 80s music, corny 80s dancing, pictionary, road trips, peking duck, cheese pimiento sandwiches.....

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I swam with a trapped whaleshark once. It circled a few times watching me closely. Then it came right up to me and looked me in the eye. It circled again and I stood still but extended my hand outwards. He came towards me and rested his chin on my hand. Then he glided his entire underbelly on my outstretched hand. He circled once more and we looked at each other with a strange understanding that we were not going to hurt one another. No fear - there was a purity to the raw connection and trust I had established with this beautiful animal.
