Pursuing a PhD in Economics
ABOUT ME
Hi there! I'm a Finnish student who loves to travel. I am originally from Helsinki, Finland and have also lived in Geneva, Switzerland and Toronto, Canada. I've traveled on all continents except for South America (wanna go someday) and Antarctica (can leave it to the penguins).
I'm not a typical Finn, because I talk A LOT (which is what Finns don't do at all according to stereotypes, which are obviously 100 % true). Abroad I usually feel like I'm a bit more "normal", though I don't really like that word anyway.
Interests
My professional passion is economic history (nerdy, I know). To balance the constant reading, I also love to dance (hip hop mostly) and hike, cycle, swim & experience the great outdoors.

Music, Movies, and Books
Nowadays my favourite genre of music seems to be melodic death metal. :D (but I listen to many other genres of music as well)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
in 2006 I did a small trip around the world. I'll never forget the beauty of New Zealand and next time I will remember that one week is definitely not enough in that amazing country.
Another mind-blowing experience was a trip to Ethiopia in 2010. Especially the Simien Mountains were breath-taking and the people some of the friendliest and most hospitable I've ever met.
