About Me
ABOUT ME
Especially after my trip in South America I have realized that it's important to do things you like and make you happy. This sounds easy, but everywhere around you, you see people who do things against their will, have obligations they don't want, do work they don't like, but being afraid to quit, and other stuff like that.
I think I'm different in that. I only do things I like, only accept the projects at work which are interesting (for me :)) and hang out only with people I really like. If something is not interesting anymore, I just skip it and exchange it for something more interesting. It is, in my opinion, the best way to have an interesting life without getting 'stuck' in unwanted routines. And because of that, to develop yourself as much as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live in an apartment in De Baarsjes, a neighbourhood west of the centre of Amsterdam. It's easy to reach from the central trainstation and from the airport. As I am working during the week I'm only able to host people in the weekends.
By the way, besides couches I also have an airbed and 2 sleeping bags which sleeps a bit more comfy :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted people now from Germany, Switzerland, England, US, Turkey, Brazil, Argentina, Taiwan, Venezuela, Chile, China and Russia. I think it's very nice to get to know people from other cultures and talk with them about travelling, their country, my country...
I surfed couches in Ankara, Bogota, Caracas, Poznan, Krakow and Wroclaw. Besides this, I met people from CS in Rio de Janeiro, Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia), La Paz, Cusco, Lima, Quito, Cali and Panama City. I think it's amazing to meet local people and go out to have a coffee, diner or party together. Because of this you get to know a country and its culture better.
Interests
Most of all: travelling!!
But as well: Partying and clubbing, music (many kinds and I'm always open for new kinds of music), movies, cars, photography, food (cooking and eating), drinking, reading, different cultures and different kind of people.
