Overview
About Me
I am 22 and studying Social Work in Utrecht (the Netherlands). I grew up in a small town near the sea called 'Middelburg'. It's a lovely town with a lot of history, but it's quite far away from everything else (for Dutch perspectives), so at the age of 17 I moved to Utrecht to start my education in Social Work with a specialization in Art Education. In 2013 I lived in Manchester (England) for 5 month. I went there to do my internship and loved the opportunity to live somewhere else for some time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Sharing is one of the most valuable things a person can do. Not only sharing information to learn from each other, but also the fun it brings when you spent time with other people.
Another reason to join couchsurfing is that during my time in Manchester I learned that you learn the most of a place when you interact with locals. I enjoyed this so much that I would like this in all my future traveling experiences.
Interests
Photographing is one of my passions. Other things I like are discovering art, reading, baking (cooking in general really) and crafting. When I am abroad I like to see as much detail of the place as possible. I walk around a lot (get lost a lot) until I get the feeling that I know the streets and will find my way without thinking too much about it.

Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share about my own culture but also what I have experienced abroad. I enjoy my education very much, so for whose interested can ask about those theories, methods or experiences too.
I would love to learn about other cultures; their rituals, kitchen, habits and language. (Though I am very bad in learning other languages I always want to try)
