Hi I’m Mauro a 25yo Italian guy. After 6 years of working as a mechanical drafter I decided to leave my work and travel the world, discover new cultures and collect a lot of memories.

After a "low budget" trip to Kenya I fell in love with this type of travel for all the incredible memories that gave me.

It changed completely my life, now I'm no more interested in fancy places and confort.
I want real life and real emotions.

Because you can go in every country in the world but if you never go out from the resorts and leave the touristic way, you'll never find the real country.

So After a year of thinking about it, I left my unfulfilling job and my mid-class life to explore the world and his cultures.

I’m from the north of Italy (near Milan). I’m a friendly, enthusiastic guy who love meeting new people and new cultures. Especially other ways of living.

In the meantime I want to transform my Photography and videography passion to my new work.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Because nothing it's like to explore a new culture with a local. Try to understand traditions, different religion, different behaviour in real life is not like reading it on the pages of some guide.

In return I'm happy to share my culture to my host and in the meanwhile meet a lot of new friends!

I listen a lot of music. From old stuff to the newest. From Bob Marley to Billie Eilish. Really everything. But my favourites are 60s and 70s.

My top Movies are: Titanic, apocalypse now, Django, Shining, and many other big dramatic movie.

I didn't read so much, I have to create the habit.

Leave my mid-class life, my well paid unfulfilling job, leave the social approved way to take this journey.
Maybe after some years I'll be run out of money but I'll collect a lot of inestimable memories and experiences.
