About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn as many languages as I can.

ABOUT ME

I love to meet new people and of course to create new international friendship. It may sound silly, but I feel like international friendships are often the strongest. I love to get impressed by the world and its ineffable beauty; I am curious and I have this ability to get amazed like a child. I want to meet people, discover their culture, and share my own with them.
I want to share, I NEED to share.

From now on, I am studying Languages and Linguistics, and I deeply fell in love with German. I haven't traveled much as a child, but still, I saw the whole USA's East coast (well, between the age of 15 and 18).
I've also lived in Berlin because I took part in a student exchange with college during winter 2014 and I spent a week-end in Prague with 2 of my new friends!

I told you about my love for the German language, but what I like the most is people. I think everyone is amazing in its own way; life becomes magnificient when you realize all the beauty that is hiding inside of you.

Being able to speak several languages is something really important to me. Communication is the key. When you only speak one language, your only have your native-language's syntax in your head. Your language is your only way to view life. Every language spoken is a new vision of the world.
Have you ever noticed how easier it is for two people to communicate together in their second-language?
Every language is systematic, every language has its own logic. And that's what is beautiful! Communication is the key, communication is everything to me!

PHILOSOPHY

You can do everything you set your mind to do it AND you don't need anyone to be happy. Being independent is one of the keys to succeed in life BUT being independent doesn't mean "I don't give a shit about others", because sharing is another key of success. People will help you to become a better person. We need other people to make ourself grow; learning is all about sharing!

Happiness is only real when shared. - Alexander Supertramp

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I lived during a year and a half on my friend's couch in Montreal. This is how I've realised I could sleep anywhere in any condition. Lights, noises, people surrounding me, that ain't not a problem!

When I had my own flat, I started hosting travelers with CS:
The first traveler I hosted did a "last-minute" couch request, and it turned out to be such a great experience! I fell in love with CS right after meeting him.
Then I met a few travelers, had coffee with them and we did some activities in Montreal.
In May 2014, I moved back in with my parents and wasn't able to host much, but I did host once with Rachel and Kate from Maine. HUGS AND KISSES LADIES!

UPCOMING TRIPS IN 2016:

I will try to head back to Berlin in December and in July, I will head to Romania in the town of Miercurea-Ciuc in order to teach English as a foreign language. I am not sure yet, but I will probably cross the Adriatic Sea and travel around Croatia, Bulgaria, etc.

Interests

Linguistics. Definitively.
I love books! Something that I like even more than books? WORDS. I love playing with words. I like to discuss about travels, philosophy, art, History and any kind of readings. I am interested in Buddhist and Taoist philosophy.
I also love swimming and jogging.

I try to translate everything from French to English (vice versa) in order to reach as many people as I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Humankind & love.
Oh, and celebrating Silverster (New year's eve) in Berlin was quite something!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk about linguistics during houuuuurs! Teach you basic German, Spanish, French or English (if you read my profile you probably don't need English classes).
I am open to learn anything!

Things I would love to learn:
well, I came up lately with the idea of learning Muay Thaï. Like reaaaally bad. I'll try to get some Beginners classes in Montreal next fall; I would be please though, if you were willing to teach me the basics.
One day, I will get my PADI certificate. I don't know when and where, but I've always dreamt of scubba diving.

What I Can Share with Hosts

What I can share with my hosts?
Happiness, languages, big talks, fun, almost everything! I could cook one of my specialities, I could bring wine so we can talk about our vision of the world around a glass of pure joy... I can share a lot of things! I can share my splendid voice (sike) around a piano session (as long as you play it, 'cause I can't)! This could be fun!
