ENGLISH: We are Macarena and Javier. We are happily married since 2014. Both independent filmmakers. We love to meet new places and people. We believe in "good vibes" and "think positive" is the way to make things possible.

About our daily lives ... we do not have a fixed schedule of work. Some days we stay many hours at home or taking advantage to do activities outside of work, other days we work many hours.
We shared the house with 2 nice cats. If you stay at home you will meet them and share some time with them.
We have a vegetarian diet and we do not like to cook any type of meat in our house. We are not vegans.
Macarena practices Yoga several times a week and Javier plays soccer in an amateur team.
Every weekend we visit our family to share a lunch or dinner with them.

ESPAÑOL: Somos Macarena y Javier. Estamos felizmente casados desde 2014. Los dos profesionales independientes de cine. Nos gusta mucho conocer lugares y personas. Creemos en la "buena onda" y que "pensar en positivo" es la forma de llevar adelante las cosas.
Sobre nuestra vida diaria... no tenemos un horario fijo de trabajo. Hay días de la semana que estamos muchas horas en casa o aprovechando para hacer actividades por fuera de lo laboral, otros días trabajamos muchas horas.
Compartimos la casa con 2 gatos muy buenos. Si se quedan en casa los conocerán y compartirán un tiempo con ellos.
Llevamos una dieta vegetariana y no nos gusta que se cocine ningún tipo de carne en nuestra casa. No somos veganos.
Macarena practica Yoga varias veces a la semana y Javier juega al fútbol en un equipo amateur.
Todos los fines de semana visitamos a nuestra familia para compartir con ellos un almuerzo o cena.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

ENGLISH: On one hand, we participate in this community in order to provide our space to travelers so they can enjoy a place to stay while they are in Montevideo. We aren´t here to generate friendship, but if that happens, perfect!! That´s very good and enriching. If it does not happen, you can stay here to save yourself a hotel or hostel.
On the other hand, we are interested in the local people's approach of the cities, who can give us their opinion regarding the interesting points of each city and obviously give us the opportunity to save us the lodging.

ESPAÑOL: Por un lado, participamos de esta comunidad con el fin de brindar nuestro espacio a viajeros para que puedan disfrutar de un lugar donde quedarse mientras están en Montevideo. No lo hacemos para generar una amistad pero tampoco estamos cerrados a eso. Si se da, lo vemos muy bueno y enriquecedor. Si no sucede, se pueden quedar aquí para ahorrarse un hotel o hostel.
Por otro lado nos interesa que al viajar podamos tener un acercamiento a las ciudades a través de una persona local, que nos pueda dar su parecer respecto a los puntos interesantes de cada ciudad y obviamente brindarnos la oportunidad de ahorrarnos el hospedaje.

ENGLISH: We are very interested in music, especially rock. Javier is part of a band playing the bass, and one of our favorite activities is to attend live musical performances.

We like to go to the movies but also watch movies and series at home.
We read comics, we have a good collection. We also like novels.

ESPAÑOL: Nos interesa mucho la música, sobre todo el rock. Javier forma parte de una banda tocando el bajo y una de nuestras actividades favoritas es concurrir a espectáculos musicales en vivo.

Nos gusta ir al cine pero también mirar películas y series en casa.
Leemos comics, tenemos una buena colección. También nos gustan las novelas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

ENGLISH: In 2016 we took a car trip through Argentina. We visit different provinces of the country (Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Cordoba, San Juan, La Rioja, Catamarca, Tucumán, Salta, Jujuy). On that trip we stayed at campsites and met amazing places. It was very special to see a dinosaur skeleton for example and in some places feel the power of nature.

ESPAÑOL: En 2016 hicimos un viaje en auto por Argentina. Visitamos diferentes provincias del país (Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Córdoba, San Juan, La Rioja, Catamarca, Tucumán, Salta, Jujuy). En ese viaje nos hospedamos en campings y conocimos lugares increíbles. Fue muy especial ver un esqueleto de dinosaurio por ejemplo y en algunos lugares sentir la fuerza de la naturaleza.
