ABOUT ME

Hi my name is Marianne from Norway. I've been studying tourism in Lillehammer, and now halfway through a Master in Innovation and industrial development. Been travelling quite a lot and no matter how much I love Norway I tend to become quite restless when I'm here for too long. I like discovering new places,especially the ones that are not "over-discovered" by tourists yet.
I'm also into long weekend city trips at the moment. I look at my self as open minded and easy to hang around.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got into the couchsurfing thing when I surfed a couch in Fremantle,Western Australia in 2008. It was a really good experience for me and I dont think it could have been any better. I became good friends with the hosts and I'm still in touch with them:)
Since then I've only hosted one person, a friend I also met in Australia.

Interests

Travelling,making new friends,diving,surfing,swimming. Can't forget to mention partying with good company in countries all over the world:)

Music: Anything,depends on my mood. CLMD, Jack Johnson,The presets,Mgmt,Kings of Leon, Daft Punk,Computers want me dead, electronica and chill out,rock,punk. There is a lot of good Australian and Nz music out there!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled from Singapore all the way through to Hong Kong. Making friends with the locals in Malaysia. Fullmoon partying in Thailand,tubing in Vang Vieng,Laos.Seen the poverty in Cambodia and Vietnam, but still see how happy they can be about life. Skydiving and white water rafting in New Zealand.Diving in Thailand and Great Barrier Reef. Snorkelling and surfing in Australia. Trekking in the Himalayas 4130 above sea level!
