Hi! I'm MacKenzie, an aspiring photographer and current student at UCLA. I study psychology, plan to minor in film, dance in my free time, and do photography for the Daily Bruin.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am Couchsurfing so I can get a more personal experience when traveling. Sometimes being in a new place can feel lonely, and I've found that what always makes me feel better is those small friendly interactions and just having someone to relate to who cares about your experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Growing up my favorite books were Harry Potter and the Percy Jackson series. Now I also love The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien and The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. I mostly listen to rap, r&b (especially from the 70s), and pop. My favorite movies are The Princess Bride, Blades of Glory, Lost in Translation, and Moulin Rouge.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In my senior year of high school I curated and organized an art show, Transcendent Art Show, that focused on mental health. Proceeds went to Abby's House, a women's and children's shelter in Worcester, MA.
