ABOUT ME

i'm a fairly quiet person and even a bit shy/reserved around new people, but i've usually got plenty to say once i get to know you :) i'm generally more active than sedentary (i like to go walking and occasionally cycling and running), but i'm also just as likely to spend the afternoon lazing in bed after a good night out! i love music. i used to play drums in a band, altho i haven't played live with a band in a cupla years now. i still play a little bit of guitat at home from time to time. i like to read a lot, have a slight preference for sci-fi/fantasy, but i'll read almost anything... am currently reading one of the books from the Game of Thrones fantasy series and also a text book on genetics... that little bit of randomness pretty much sums me up really!

PHILOSOPHY

in two words: "live, learn". it's better to burn brightly for a short while and light someone's way than lose yourself in the long shadow of the banal, as so many people tend to do!

Music, Movies, and Books

mostly like sci-fi/fantasy, but also a broad smattering of everything else. some of my all time favourite movies would include: gladiator, pulp fiction, amelie, resevoir dogs, lord of the rings, heat... music i prefer is usually guitar driven rock/metal, but listen to lots of stuff that doesnt fit that desciption too... read a strange mix of sci-fi/fantasy and reference books (usually politics/history)...
