Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling around Europe, staying at hotels, having any contact to the locals started to be boring for me. It all consisted in going from one place to another, checking off sights and then going back home. After every come back I didn’t feel satisfied with what I did. That kind of travel didn’t enrich me at all. One day one of my friend talked me into trying to stay with locals using CS service. I wasn’t convinced but considering I was going to Iran where there weren’t a lot of hotels, I decided to do it together with him. It totally changed my perception of travel. I fully lost myself in Persian culture, in daily life and routine of the people I stayed with. I was deeply touched by the hospitality the locals gave me. First time in my life I really missed the country leaving it. Now I’m not even able to imagine staying at hotels. The only right way of travel for me is interacting with local people. It helps me to get to know different cultures from inside, places I visit and above all to share my experience with those hungry for knowledge people.
