About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make the UK my base from which I can travel around. Get more into the kind of work I do now.
ABOUT ME
In 2011 I started my slow journey across Europe (and a bit beyond) and have not spent more than one year in a place since then. I would even hesitate to call it a journey, more the way life turned out. In this time I have been into different things, mainly studying and working and always pulled by things I have been in one way or another fascinated by.
Other than that, I enjoy simple things, simple food, simple travels and a genuine meaningful chat.
I like sports and music. In the past I run some marathons, but now I am also into cycling and swimming. I do sun salutations every other day for 20 min and it feels fantastic. Hiking is great, too, as is bouldering, but because I am a guitarist my right hand nails are a bit of a trouble for it.
PHILOSOPHY
I try not to over-analyse life and I am in favor of common sense. When following media, I find myself liking the more the left winged press, but generally I prefer to read data supported reports.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been mainly hosted during my travels and I think I hosted someone only once. It was mainly because I wanted to be with people who could tell me about the city/village I was in, and show me non touristic places to go to. That being said, I also crushed at this PhD student's place in Zuerich when I had gone to Switzerland for my PhD application interview. We had a great chat anyway. A few times I also took part in the CS events, that was in Malaysia.
The biggest CS related trip I took was when I travelled by bicycle from Austria to Croatia.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I first traveled with friends who were on CS. After a while I got myself an account and have been enjoying it since then!
Interests
I have so many interest, I am interested in everything I don't know yet! Currently I am spending a lot of time on learning Spanish and German, and I still play guitar quite a bit. I am interested in working with people with autism and luckily this is my job.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like all sorts of music, but predominantly jazz, blues and world music. I like non-fiction better than novels and I used to watch a lot of alternative movies in the past but now watch more mainstream, for relax and learning languages purposes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I used to run marathons and I did paragliding once. May 2013 was the month when I traveled by bicycle from St. Gilgen, Austria to Kulan Vakuf, Bosnia and back.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am not sure what to write here. Let us meet and have a chat, and see what could we learn from one another!
