我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Hosting and surfing is a great way to enjoy life and make new friends. I had so far all but excellent encounters with people with whom it was fun to: cook together, share stories and jokes, argue about the superiority of a book over an e-book, play music, listen to, stay quiet together...
CS makes me believe there are still authentic and caring people, so the world is not as bad as the click-bait news want you to believe...
Note: I do not accept random friend’s requests from unknown couch surfers, because I believe one needs to get to know each other better before becoming friends. On the other hand, I try to answer all valid and genuine messages.

兴趣

Travels and Africa, with the ambition to visit every country on the African continent (so far made to only 11 but will hit the road again soon); stretching my horizons, continuously learning, smiling to the unknown, listening to stories. Some other interests too: outdoor, nature, hiking, cooking, horse-back riding, photography, sailing, running.

Classical music, all kind of rock, French and Spanish music, local radio-stations, modern jazz, African vibrations!
Books: travelling stories, hundreds of others (promoting Polish modern classics - Mrozek, Kapuscinski, Szymborska). I can read maps for hours.
I buy far too many books and then try to read four at the same time...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

More than just one: gazing at stars in Ethiopia; 46 km trek thru the rainforest and mountains of Uganda; climbing the Mayan ruins in the middle of Mexico. Also: admiring first signs of spring; contemplating the flames of the fireplace in my home; scent of a freshly made bread; smile of my daughter. There are wonders everywhere.
