ABOUT ME

I gruaduated from University of Economics in Katowice in International Business Relations. During my Bachelor programme I was visiting Saarbrücken in Germany for one Semester. I was studying there Internationales Wettbewerbsrecht (International Competition Law). In that time I became interested in German language, which as for today I have been learning for 2 years.

I can speak English and German, which is also my hobby. I also like to read about the global affairs and economy, my favoritue magazine (which I highly value for the informativeness as well as for the professional language) is "The Economist".

Basically I occupy myself at the moment with three things: German, English and playing piano. However by September 2012 as a result of my efforts this will get reorganised thanks to and in order to continue my personal development.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to learn all life long. It gives me great pleasure.

If I was to describe my attitude towards life with just one word, I would use "pragmatism". When given a chance to add one more term, I would use "common sense".

Because I base all my opinions on the logic. Logically, the most reliable thing in the universe is yourself (unless you suffer from some mental disorder). Therefore it is just reasonable to never stop learning. Consequently one day you will be able to genuinely help others.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far my guest-host ratio is 1:1 :). At the moment German speakers are mostly welcome (but not only they!), as well as I will be visiting Germany most.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

By this moment I have couch-surfed only once, to Germany. It was absolutely positive. If I was told about that from somebody else, I simply wouldn't believe it. Our host was not only kind enough to overnight us, but also to spend with us plenty of time chatting, cooking and eating :).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

So far one of the most amazing things I have seen in my life were the paintings by Salvadore Dali. My favoritue is "Galarina". Moreover I couldn't omit here "Nighthawks" by Edward Hopper or The Birth of Venus by William-Adolphe Bouguereau. And a few other.

PS. I have low need for adrenalin and I am aware of it :]. I also drive my car by the rules (mostly) ;).

I can teach English up to advanced level, German up to intermediate level and playing piano for the first 3 years of learning. I want to learn Russian and Turkish. Easy as it should be for Pole to learn Russian, with Turkish it will be much more laborious :).
