About Me

My profile will show as NOT verified (at $60 a pop, I ought to get my soul verified for CS).
Govt ID not verified? That's cos we don't have one; a govt.

You'll hear of, see and taste some of Goa that's not written about by official websites or by bloggers who put down 'Top things to do in Goa', if you plonk with us.

We are twins - Mack(https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/mack76) and Roy (me).

My twin also runs a fantastic local experiences company, for good ol Goan picnics and 'pasois'.

And here's what I've discovered. "There's only so much we think we know of another person." But the rest is all a discovery.

Grew up in Goa (the only liberal place in an otherwise up-tight country), studied and worked in various Indian cities.

Marched out to the 'grime city' - Bombay to tuck in a professional course and work, work, work.

Now back in good ol' Goa - writing, travels and adventures. And working with the Times Of India.

I enjoy books and great conversations, outdoors, great company, sports (tennis, windsurfing, swimming, ultimate frisbee), interesting folks and their stories.

Somewhere while growing up, I fell in love with reading. I recall beautiful afternoons of gollywogs, and flying chairs, and wishes and being children, of living and running free in the mountains, of milking goats and eating goat-milk cheese, of diving 20,000 leagues under the sea.

I cycled around endlessly along a two beautiful villages in Goa...palm trees swaying, wind blowing, picking wild berries from forests and bathing in fresh-water springs...and putting thumbs out trying to 'hitch-hike' and then promptly scooting off the in the other direction.

To the music ...(this is for when we meet and talk) :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet up folks from different latitudes and longitudes.

To talk about your adventures and travels, your opinions and world views.

Your culture and I will show you some of the good side of Goa!

There's a ton of fascinating stuff across...

Interests

I have an interest in seeing someone build a virus for # (the hash tag)

I don't like words like...
Throwback
Foodporn

And, if they come attached to a #, that makes it far worse.

Music, Movies, and Books

You may've started with music, but you needed to read before that...

Arts should be entertaining and educating; if it does both - well, great!

Books:
The absolute unputdownable
# 1 - BEAT THE REAPER by Josh Bazell (and bloody hell; this was his debut novel)

Music: Death Cab For Cutie (great lyrics, supported by strong compositions)
Kings Of Leon
Guns N Roses (kind of grew up listening to them)
Robert Cray band
CCR
The Who
Led Zep
Rolling Stones

Movies:
Birdman
Gravity
(the top one, I can't seem to recall now)
