hello(: My name is Mackenzie and I'm super excited to have just joined Couchsurfing. I am outgoing, spontaneous, and love meeting and learning from different people. So this is perfect! I am a college student in the US, and I am studying business management and international studies. I have worked as a nanny, a lifeguard, and at a law firm. Currently, I work at a thrift store in Boston. On top of that, I practice yoga, cook, sing, and write. I absolutely love to travel and experiencing new cultures! Fun fact: I'm a firm believer that dancing is appropriate in any circumstance. I love life, and I'm excited to see where it takes me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friend and I are traveling through Europe this summer from late May to mid July, starting in Barcelona. As we move from place to place, we want to experience the real culture, more than just the typical tourist. We both are adventurous and up for anything. As of right now, we are unsure of where we will be going. But could not be more excited!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all art. My favorite type of music would be alternative or indie folk. Favorite band, hands down, is the 1975. My favorite movie is Dead Poets Society although I love any classic Disney movie as well. Favorite book is East of Eden by John Steinbeck and all of F. Scott Fitzgerald. And the Twilight series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In high school, a team and I refurbished 6 old shipping containers to create housing for families in low-income communities. This provided housing for over 20 people by the time I graduated!
