ABOUT ME

I'm an American girl who loves to travel. And for as much as I've traveled, I feel like I've seen it all when it comes to what can go wrong when traveling :P I love to speak French and German and love European culture in general (or for the most part). It's great to meet new people and try new things and see the world. I can be friends with almost anyone. I am a violinist... I used to always play in an orchestra, but now I play for fun. Music is very important to me. I also like to play the piano. Eating is also one of my other favorite things, and working out. I also love wine. This summer I worked at a winery and it was the best summer job I've ever had. I can't wait to go wine tasting in different countries. Animals are also awesome. I wish I could take my cats with me to Europe.

PHILOSOPHY

Youth is a state of mind. The body may grow old, but the mind doesn't have to. A lot of my friends from high school are now married with kids, and in a way I'm jealous, but on the other hand, I think for the moment I have a better life, since I'm still so young and doing so many things that a lot of people my age will never get to experience. Right now I'm living for me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm using couchsurfing to meet new people and save a little money while traveling, since I'm a young person just starting out on my own with a limited budget. But more than anything, staying with someone is always more fun than in a hotel anyway!! By the way, if you see that I haven't been fully verified, it's because I haven't paid the $25... Moving to another country isn't cheap yo.

I've used it to stay with some friends of friends, but I'm always hoping to use it to make new ones!!

Interests

I love to travel (except for the whole traveling part). I play the violin, and have been speaking French for about 10 years now. I also speak some German. I plan on starting a vlog to talk about my experiences. I love fashion and photography. For me the best souvenirs aren't the ones you buy. It's the photographs and the memories made.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the Tower Eiffel sparkling. But I have a long life to live, and I know I will see many more amazing things.

Teach, Learn, Share

People from other cultures! I know I'm from American and we have many cultures, but I feel I learn much better about other cultures away from the US. I especially like learning new things to say in other languages. I like people who can teach me a lot about a subject I'm interested in, but don't know much about, like wine for example. I didn't know much about it before working at a winery, and I learned so much from some great people.
