ABOUT ME

I'm Mackenzie, a girl from California, USA who is currently backpacking/traveling Europe for the first time! Hello!!

I'm 23 years old--mature, fun, adventurous, kind, and always down for a great conversation or great walk. Exploring makes me so happy and excited. I first backpacked Asia with my family when I was 8 years old and have been in love with traveling ever since.

I love to meet new people and be immersed in new places and new ideas. I love to talk life, love, art, politics, spirituality, really anything!! I truly enjoy hearing and learning the opinions, stories, and beliefs of others in order to understand more about the world and expand my own mindset.

I'm American, and I also have dual citizenship with Canada, eh!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I originally Couchsurfed for the first time when I was 20 years old (~3 years ago) while living and studying and traveling abroad in New Zealand and LOVED it. I met such amazing people and had an awesome time everywhere I went. Maybe it's all in the mindset and maybe it was the wonderful people, but I've loved it from there on out!

Interests

Hmmm... Sunsets are one of my favorite things, if you're down to watch with me or direct me to the best places to watch one at, you're a winner in my book! Although I will probably say how beautiful it is about a million times--I am a connoisseur of appreciating natural beauty.

I also love sports, art, reading, travel, talks about life, learning about new and different perspectives, science, exploring, hiking, finding little-known places with beautiful views, and more.. I am a girl of many interests!

I love to teach and share, and I love to learn! Facts, knowledge, perceptions, ideas, ramblings, etc on really almost anything fascinate me and I try to be like a sponge and take it all in. I am also happy and more-than-willing to share my own knowledge and facts and ideas. (Respectful) conversations are how you bond with others and grow your mind, in my humble opinion!
