Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To enjoy life, live it to the fullest, meet interesting people along the way, wonder why we all live so far apart, and be part of the global community.
ABOUT ME
I like to think I'm a pretty laid-back girl. Left-wing feminist. Brimming with optimism (or idealism?) Always up to try something new (like couchsurfing!) I've lived in Winnipeg my whole life and only recently caught the travel bug. Now I'm not content to stay still. By "settling down", there's so many things a person will never know or understand. After taking a year off to travel to Ghana and volunteer, I will be going back to university in the winter to work on my education degree towards becoming a high school teacher.
PHILOSOPHY
Take risks, think with your heart, never judge, live simply, accept the unknown, live sustainably, seek consciousness/awareness always.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm open to hosting and will definitely be doing some traveling and CS'ing myself in the near future. This is a great opportunity to meet people and engage in global citizenship...feeling the rhythm of it all.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted a few times and loved it
Interests
I like good music, good wine, good beer, good friends, politics, art, philosophy, politics, meditation, food and shenanigans every once in a while. I realize my definition of "good" is entirely subjective...you might hate my wine...but probably not. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first night that the electricity went off in our village in Ghana our immediate impulse was to come outside and look at the stars. The sky was full of them. It was an extremely humbling and sacred moment.
